JOBS MUSIC DIRECTOR ORGANIST WEEKEND CUSTODIAN
Position Description This is a part-time position (4 hours per week) in providing care to infants and toddlers during the Sunday educational and worship programs of Grace Baptist Church. Additional hours may be negotiated for special programs and meetings as needed.
Specific Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Staffing the nursery from 9:30 a.m. until the close of worship (approximately 12:30 p.m.), plus necessary set-up and clean up.
- Weekly cleaning of linens, toys and other items in the nursery
- Monitoring the nursery for safety, discarding broken/hazardous toys
- Supervising nursery assistants as needed
- Adhering to Nursery care guidelines
- Arranging for a substitute when necessary
Qualifications
- Must be a mature and responsible adult with some experience in childcare.
- This job requires stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling and twisting motions. Applicant must be in good physical health.
- Must fulfill GBC employment requirements including having an understanding of the Personnel Policies which contain guidelines to prevent sexual misconduct with children and youth.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with the pastor, church staff, and other church leaders.
Accountability & Evaluation
- The nursery attendant works under the supervision of the Board of Christian Education or its designee.
- A performance review will be conducted after 90 days and annually thereafter by the BOCE.
Compensation & Benefits
- Negotiable, base of $15.00 per hour.
- No additional benefits are offered.
